Come out to our monthly political prisoner letter writing event in Asheville, held at West Asheville Park since the pandemic to allow for social distancing. We can provide the names and addresses of long term prisoners with upcoming birthdays and recent political and politicized prisoners facing repression behind bars and needing some friendly words sent their way.
A letter to someone behind bars can mean the difference between guards and other prisoners seeing someone as fair game and alone versus a part of a vital web of social justice activism and struggle for liberation!
Haven’t written a prisoner (or a letter) before, no problem. We’re happy to share experience, stamps and stationary.
